Welcome to the News section of the platform! News posts are great to quickly communicate about company news, blogposts or press releases on your partners' websites. Let us tell you more about the section before we dive in how to create news posts... π
You can open this section by selecting Content in the left menu of the platform and then News! You will find the following five tabs in this section:
All
Draft
Expired
Published
Scheduled
The "All" tab
This is where all the available news posts not filtered on status or vendor are placed.
The "Draft" tab
As long as a news post is saved as a draft, it won't go live nor be visible to the partners.
The "Expired" tab
It shows news posts linked to campaigns that are expired and therefore no longer displayed in partners' widgets.
The "Published" tab
Currently active News posts.
The "Scheduled" tab
News posts that are saved and linked to a campaign that is not yet active. The post will become active as soon as the campaign becomes available.
The New post button
The New post button as shown above will allow you to create news post. Speaking about this, let's dive in the 4 steps to create a news post!
Hit the button to get started! π
Step 1) Filling in the news post attributes
Campaign β Select the campaign for which you're creating the news post.
Category (optional) β Choose a category, if the campaign you've chosen has categories.
Some campaigns do not have categories. For these, you won't be able to choose a category and that's totally fine! π
Step 2) Fill in the news post information
In this section, you'll need to fill in some attributes for your news post. The steps are detailed further down below the image.
(!) β Remember to fill in your news post information and content for all the languages.
1. Write a title
2. Add text for the button
β You could write something like "Read more" or "Learn more". You decide π
Step 3) Add an image to the news post
Time to upload an image!
This is the image that will appear as a banner on the detail page of the news post in your partners' widgets and as the post image in the news overview page. You'll find an example at the end of the article π
Step 4) Add the content of the news post
This field contains all post information. The WYSIWYG editor allows for some basic styling like titles, images, bullets or tables.
The preview text is displayed on the news posts overview page together with the image and the button text and can contain a small intro about the article. (see example at the bottom of the article).
The entire post must be translated for each language of the linked campaign.
Preview your post!
β Hit the Preview button (hidden behind the more button as shown below) to check out what your post will look like!
Happy with your post?
β Hit the save data button! It's hidden behind the more button as shown right here. This extra step is here to avoid publishing a news post accidentally!
Congrats! Your news post is published. π
The news post will appear in your partners' overview and they will receive an email notification about it.
Not done yet?
β Save the news post as a draft. It will be placed in the Draft tab for you to pick up later. It will appear in your overview and in the one of your marketing agency if you're working together on this project. It won't be visible to the partners yet!
What will it look like?
Here is an example of two news posts in a widget.
If you click on the Learn more button of the news post, the news post detail, as shown below, will open.
